CREATING FAMILY PORTRAITURE’S:
“My tenture in the Arts commenced at the age of seven with a Portraiture of my father, my teacher had displayed, to my surprise, for the schools hallway audience.
– A singular event that inaugrated a lifetime dedicated to the intimacies and mysteries of Portraitures. Over the six ensuing decades, I have cultivated a portfolio of over 650 commissioned portraits and partisapated in more than 200+ exhibitions internationally. As my body of work has matured, my focus has pivoted toward the curation of my personal ever expanding archival editions. This stretegic shift is designed with the main purpose to safeguard and enhance the ever increasing investment value of my existing collectors acquisitions. I am still creating family portraitures but restricting my output to a maximum acceptance of (5) family commissions per annum in order to free up my time to continue expanding my personal archives. To ensure compositional intimacy and the highest caliber of execution, each family portraiture is limited to no more than (4) subjects in the composition. These portraits are available in two techniques Realism, and Impressionism, tailored to the
clients aesthetic preference.

dickZIMMERMAN has been painting for over 45 years, creating portraiture’s for iconic figures, celebrities, CEOs, dignitaries, and families throughout the world. A native of New York, and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, acquired his Bachelor of Arts degree at New York University with advanced studies at the Brooklyn Museum, with contemporary fine art masters the brothers Raphael & Moses Soyer, then developed his craft in London, Milan, Rome with advanced studies at the famed Musee D’orsay in Paris.
In 1973 dickZIMMERMAN had the rare honor of having the great artist of our time Salvador Dali and wife Gala sit for a Zimmerman Portraiture for their 50th wedding anniversary.
His iconic portrait of Michael Jackson used for the famed “Thriller” album cover is still the world’s largest distributed portrait in history.
