A PERSONAL NOTE FROM DICK
For most of my 84 years, I have lived a life dedicated to the visual arts. It has taken me into rooms with extraordinary people — from Salvador Dalí to Michael Jackson, from presidents to popes.
Today I find myself thinking differently about the work I leave behind. I have selected the pieces that mean the most to me and brought them together as The Legacy Collection.
It is my hope that these works will continue their journey in the hands of collectors who understand what they represent.

dickZIMMERMAN has been painting for over 65 years, creating portraiture’s for iconic figures, celebrities, CEOs, dignitaries, and families throughout the world. A native of New York, and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, acquired his Bachelor of Arts degree at New York University with advanced studies at the Brooklyn Museum, with contemporary fine art masters, brothers Raphael & Moses Soyer, then developed his craft in London, Milan, Rome with advanced studies at the famed Musee D’orsay in Paris.
In 1973 dickZIMMERMAN had the rare honor of having the great artist of our time Salvador Dali and his wife Gala sit for a Zimmerman Portraiture to commemerate their 50th wedding anniversary.
His iconic portrait of Michael Jackson used for the famed “Thriller” album cover is still the world’s largest distributed portrait in history.
In 2020 his Portrait of Pope Francis was presented to the Pope and which is personally displayed in his office at Vatican City, Rome, Italy.
His successful exhibition at the Mar-a-lago estate was graciously
orchestrated by President Donald J Trump.
