dickZIMMERMAN has been painting for over 45 years, creating portraiture’s for iconic figures, celebrities, CEOs, dignitaries, and families throughout the world. A native of New York, and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, acquired his Bachelor of Arts degree at New York University with advanced studies at the Brooklyn Museum, with contemporary fine art masters the brothers Raphael & Moses Soyer, then developed his craft in London, Milan, Rome with advanced studies at the famed Musee D’orsay in Paris.
In 1973 dickZIMMERMAN had the rare honor of having the great artist of our time Salvador Dali and wife Gala sit for a Zimmerman Portraiture for their 50th wedding anniversary.
His iconic portrait of Michael Jackson used for the famed “Thriller” album cover is still the world’s largest distributed portrait in history.

“Today started off with a wimper but finished with a bang! Linda was walking our dog Roscoe this morning when he decided to run after a squirrel. He pulled Linda so hard that she fell, landing on her elbow. She now has a cast on for the next 8 weeks. We came home tired and cranky. As we pulled into the driveway, we could see this large crate inside the garage. I eagerly opened it. We must have stared at it for five minutes with saying hardly more than WOW!!!. We have seen many of your work but we are predudiced and think our portraiture is one of the best we have ever seen. Our thanks go to you and Patty for walking us through the whole process. You did everything on schedule and made us very comfortable in the time span you mentioned.
